Day 78 I Got Stripes
Day 78 I Got Stripes
I spent so long editing my photos from yesterday's book drive I almost ran out of time to take my photo of the day.
Looking round for inspiration I was drawn to the colour of these books so thought I'd focus on their lines and colours for today's photo
Day 77 The Winner Takes at All
Day 77 The Winner Takes at All
Yesterday was the launch of London Loveiosa's charity book drop for charity and we managed to collect over 1000 donations of books!
Today's photo is of two boys who both won a tombola prize, they were so sweet and literally jumped with joy when they won. Here they are posing with their prizes!
See our blog for more details on the launch and how you can help the cause by donating any books you no longer need

I wasn't happy with any of my shots on Thursday so I took this one on my walk home, I like how the blurred lights look like birds in the sky.

Day 74 Electric Avenue
Day 74 Electric Avenue
This corn field looked so atmospheric this morning when I drove past it on my way to work. Unfortunately it was a bit grey by the time I got back to the same spot after work. I quite like the compostition but wish I was able to edit it to improve the colours.
Day 73 Oh The Webs You Weave!
Day 73 Oh The Webs You Weave!

Day 69 Splish Splash I was Taking a Bath!
Look how cute these two brothers are.
I was pretty hard to focus here as my camera kept steaming up and I was worried about it getting wet so I had to be very quick but I am very happy with this shot.
I'm having to borrow a computer at the moment and am unable to edit my photos but I think I'd like this one better if it was conerted to a black and white shot.
Day 68 Among the things I love so dearly, the books!

Here's just the first lot I've collected!
London Loveiosa and The Brighton Burrow HPA Chapters are not for profit organiasations aiming to improve things in the local community. The book drive is our first project and is going well already!

Day 66 Like Clockwork
Day 66 Like Clockwork
Bit of an odd one here but I was stuck for inspiration. I'd have preffered it if the clock hand wasn't in the way of the birds beak but I didn't want to move the fragile hands and I didn't have time to wait for them to move
Day 65 Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Day 65 Somewhere Over the Rainbow
I wasn't sure what to do for my photo of the day on Monday so I thought I'd take a nice atmospheric photo of the view from the the Downs as the sky was looking grey and stormy. But as I drove up the hill the sun suddenly broke through the clouds and a manificent rainbow formed. As I parked my car another car came up behind me and 3 girls jumped out excited to see the rainbow too.
I took a few nice photos of the windmill with the rainbow behind but they were a little bland and boring so I chose this one of 2 of the girls looking out over the downs. They said out loud that they were looking for the end of the rainbow and this photo sums that sentement up nicely.

Day 63 Torn on the Platform
Day 63 Torn on the Platform
Symmetry (from Greek συμμετρεῖν symmetreín "to measure together") has two meanings. The first is a vague sense of harmonious and beautiful proportion and balance
Sat waiting for the train on Saturday and I noticed the symmetry of the lines in front of me. The above wikipedia definition sums up exactly how I felt noticing the haromious and beautiful proportion and balance, sometime the simple things in life really impress me :)

This was taken in a rare moment of calm during a massive fight between good (about 7 Ninja Turtles) and evil (a giant crocodile and a small Hello Kitty. Kids have such fantastic imagination, Em and I thought we were keeping up until this one thought up a very imaginative way for Kitty to die!

Day 57 Down Came the Rain & Washed Poor Spider Out!
The heavens suddenly opened and I thought I'd try and capture the downpour on film (well on an SD card anyway) but this delicate spider web caught my eye instead.

Day 50 I can Sing a Rainbow
Day 50 I can Sing a Rainbow
I wanted to do something with colour today so thought I'd do a still life using colouring pencils. I was having difficulty getting the composition right though and tried a number of different angles, non of which were working. The light was fading so I moved my subject outside to get the last of the daylight and use the grapevine as a backdrop. As soon as I did this I used the garden as inspiration and arranged the pencils like a flower focusing on the yellow pencils at the centre.

Day 49 Baby's Got Blue Eyes
Day 49 Baby's Got Blue Eyes
This is a photo of my best friend's youngest son. What a cutie! I took this on my Fujifilm compact while out at a fun day in Windsor while his big brother went to say hello to his friends.
I'm very luck to have some amazing friends and this outing was just part of a great weekend with some of them. Lots of laughs, sharing stories, reading books to the kids, eating yummy homemade food and watching awful but very entertaining films, can't wait till our next catch up in a couple of months.
